Alton Towers getaway

I had the best weekend at Alton Towers with Guy. He picked me up Friday night at 8 pm and we started driving down, sing along to Moana, The Greatest Snowman, Ed Sheeran, and Taylor Swift. We drove until about midnight when we checked into a cute little hotel on the English country side. Saturday morning after breakfast we drove the remaining 3 hours down to the theme park. When we got there it was already 2 pm so we figured we might as well get a room and see if we could get some deal on a 2 day pass. which we did. (Guy is very good at negotiating!) He also insisted on getting the Fast-track passes (expensive!!!) but thank god because the waiting times for most rider were around an hour, and we would’ve wasted most of the day. Then we spent the rest of the weekend going on roller coasters, goofing around, eating fast food (mainly) - we went into the nearby town for dinner on Saturday and it was one of the cutest little towns I’ve been to - and just generally enjoying ourselves, until it was time to drive home at 3 pm. Guy had a lot of driving to do, and he must’ve been so tired. My hero! It was an ideal weekend, and also just what we needed. I spent way more money than I planned and I’m skint now, but it was definitely worth it.
