The Beast is here!

So Scotland has been frozen by ”The Beast from the East” and the Storm Emma has caused a Red Alert (risk to life likely) to be issued across many areas. Now, I’m not going to lie – it’s bad! It started up for real today and the scene outside resembles a scene from Frozen when Elsa causes her own blizzard at the end of the film.

So we were sent home early from work to make sure we got home, and for a while there I worries I might not get home at all: there was a lot of traffic and we missed 3 buses (which were all at least 10 mins late, by the way) because they were all “full” (more people could’ve been squeezed in). So we were left there as the blizzard started up again and it looked bleak there for a moment.

But then another bus finally showed up and I pushed my way into it (yes, I pushed) because there was NO way I was missing another one. It was one of my more selfish moments! Then I had to sit on this for an hour, which is quadruple the time it usually takes. Man was I happy to some home! We’ll have to wait and see if I get to work tomorrow.
