"They don't have a sell-by date like we do"

The title is a quote from my friend Cerys from earlier tonight when we talked about guys and age differences. I was doubled over laughing because of the matter-of-fact way she said that guys don't have a sell-by date like girls do. For some reason I thought it was hilarious!

Anyway, today has been a very good day! I had a job interview this morning, which I felt went really well and the company and role feel like they would suit me perfectly! The team seemed fun and interesting as well. They will let me know next week on if I was successful or not, so fingers crossed! 

When I got home I went to the gym and did a sort of improvised workout where I combined half of the abs workout and half the arms workout, meaning I did one set of each instead of to sets of one, if that makes sense? I thought I'd mix it up for once, hehe. 

The weather has been glorious today and I finished off this first real summer's day at Akva (name taken from Akvavit, which is a traditional Swedish spirit) Bar's Swedish Garden Party my friends. There I tried a lingonberry flavoured cider by a Swedish brewery I've never heard of before, called Idun's. I have only ever heard of the company Idun (minus the "s") which is a cosmetics company. 

Anyway, we spent a few hours at this lovely bar next to the canal, listening to first a live samba band, and then a DJ. It was a lovely end to a great day! And it was exactly what I needed after the day I had yesterday... the day itself wasn't bad at all – it was a good day, in fact – but I was suffering (emphasis on "suffering") from the worst PMS I have ever had in my life! I had horrible anxiety and depression, mood swings, ridiculous cravings – the works! It was ridiculous! Tuesday was pretty bad as well, but yesterday was actually insane. So thank the lord that today was so much better! PMS was still there today in terms of slight irritability, but other than that I felt normal. Amazing how hormones can impact your well-being. 

Anywhoo, now it's time for me to get some shut-eye, because tomorrow I'm meeting Cerys in town to go explore Edinburgh in the predicted glorious weather. It will be lovely! So night y'all xxx
