Step one is almost done

I have now been in Edinburgh for 6 days. I can't believe it's only been that short a time because I've accomplished quite a lot already! I am writing this post from my own bed in my own (rented) room, which took me all but three days to find! That's very quick, isn't it?! And the room is big, cute and quirky, the front door is adorable, and the location is great! It's not too far away from town, and it's right next to a park and a river! I'm so chuffed!

Also, on Thursday I took a road trip with my friend Dylan up to Aberdeen to get my stuff off the lovely Tegan and Elin, who have been keeping it safe for me this whole time I've been away. Absolute stars they are! It was a very long day, as me and Dylan drove up in the morning and I got the bus back down in the afternoon. I also almost didn't fit all my stuff – which I remembered to be much less – in his car but with a bit of a squeeze I just managed! I packed my largest suitcase with things I wanted to take right away, and Dylan will drive the rest down when he comes back from Aberdeen next week. Everything is falling into place very nicely! Now if I could find a job as easy as I found a flat, that would be excellent!
