Final day in Portugal

Today was my last day here in Estoril, and it didn't quite play out the way we'd planned. When I got up this morning my dog was acting really strange. She had her tail between her legs, she was crouching and shivering, and was very weak. For a while she just lay there and she was so bad we thought it might be her time. So the day by the pool that I had planned was swapped for a trip to the vet, which took her for the day to do some tests. While waiting for her we went for coffee and lunch, then went home and chilled. I also did my workout (which was horrible today!) and finished packing. Then we picked up my precious poodle from the vet and they told us that she has crystals in her urine, which caused her behaviour. You can imagine our relief that all she needed were some pills to make her better, because we were preparing ourselves for having to put her down.

So when we got home we had some rose champagne and yummy snacks to celebrate my last night here in Portugal, and the fact that the dog was ok, and chilled in front of the telly one last time. I am now tucked in bed for my last sleep here for this time. Tomorrow I start my next adventure: my big move to Edinburgh! 

Not a happy doggy this morning, but now she's all good!
