Happy St Patrick's Day people! I have spent it in a very quiet manner, just eight the family. It is my brother's last night here in Portugal before he jets off back home to Sweden. I shall be joining him for 10 days up there in the cold, which I'm very excited about! Not excited about the cold but very excited to see my friends!

Anyway, this week has been very eventful with all that we have been getting up to. Yesterday we added to the adventures by going to the place where my parents were thinking of moving originally: Nasaré. It's a 1,5 hour drive there so we had to leave early-ish. We spent the day all five of us (the doggy came along too) walking around exploring. Raffa (my dog) made a friend in the shape of a young male dog following her and us around for ages! Finally my mum had to shoo it, so it left... but not before it licked up my dog's pee from the ground... ew.

We didn't spend too long in Nasaré as the town is very small, but we did go for coffee (or "fika") and for lunch, and went to see the house that my parents had been looking at.

It was a very nice place, but my parents definitely made the right choice in moving to the place they're at now. It's much nicer and less touristy!

Today we only went to lunch by the sea at a restaurant where I went with the parents a couple weeks ago, then went for coffee (surprise surprise!) and the went to the local shop Pingo Doce to buy octopus, gambas and other stuff to put on the grill. My dad bought himself a pretty fancy barbecue that he and my brother want d to christen tonight. So we went home and started prepping the food. I made myself chicken breast and courgette skewers, mmm!

However, it would probably have been a good idea to test out the BBQ first, because it took the boys 1,5 hours to figure out how the hell it worked, since it wasn't getting warm. We almost gave up! But they finally got it working (after it was already dark out, lol) and the result was a late but OH SO YUMMY dinner! It was truly delicious!

We hit a bit of a grumpy bump there when the grill wasn't working, but in the end it was a great ending to a spectacular week! I am now packed and tucked away in bed ready for my last sleep before I head to Stockholm. So while everyone else celebrates St Patrick's Day, I shall be sleeping because I have to get up at like 6 am tomorrow. But I'll dream about leprechauns... promise.
