When life gives you lemons... nah sod that!

I had a very strange sleep last night I'll tell you. I literally woke up every hour thinking my alarm was going to go off soon so I might as well get up. Each time I would go over to my phone, not noticing that it was still dark outside, and check what time it was only to see that 6 times out of 7 it was the middle of the night. I was a bit worried that I might not hear my alarm when I went to bed, since I had to keep my phone on the other side of the room (the very convenient location of the power sockets...) so I guess that affected my sleep. But Jesus, you'd think that after fooling myself 3 times in a row I would've learned that I didn't have to get up??? But nope, my body still felt the need to wake up every hour the night before I have to fly for a total of 17 hours... and I even had a room for three all to myself, and got to sleep in a double bed for the first time in a month!

But at least that meant I could sleep a little on the plane, a couple of the 13 hours fly by as I was snoring (probably) and drooling (definitely) away at the window. The rest of the time I watched Doctor Strange, Genius, and Florence Foster Jenkins, which were all really good films that I really enjoyed watching! I am now in Heathrow Airport and it's honestly so nice to hear English being spoken around you again! I really missed it.

What's not so nice is that when I was going to buy food I realised that I'd lost my bank card – my guess is that I left it in a cash machine in Bangkok – so I had to call and block it. The bank gave me emergency money attached to a code, which I sadly (not surprisingly) couldn't use because Heathrow doesn't have the right ATM machines... and I only had 40 baht on me, which is less than a pound, so I couldn't do a currency exchange because the amount was too small.

Because of all this extra hassle I had to run to my gate, which was a 10 min walk away, so now I'm sweating and dying at the gate. But at least I get to board soon. I REALLY hope they serve some kind of food on the flight.

I wish I could say this was me when this all happened, but I didn't even try to stay positive. Instead I phoned my parents to ask them to get me some food for when I arrive, but ended up ranting at my mum in the process (sorry mamma). But I'm on the plane now and I've calmed down. At least the journey is almost done and I get to see my parents soon! And my dog as well!!
