This really is paradise

So I've not updated for a couple days because I've been busy with, well, life. Apologies to those (mum and dad) who read my blog daily. Anyway, I've had an amazing couple days here in Koh Tao! It started out a little stressful since Grace and I had no idea what hotel we were staying at or who was supposed to pick us up. We just knew that someone was going to be there to pick us up. So we were sat there in the harbour waiting for ages while trying to figure out what the hell we were doing. It was infuriating and I got very annoyed, mainly because I was sleep deprived and hungry.

But we eventually found our ride and we got taken to the Asia Resort where our coordinator for us breakfast and explained about the week. Afterwards we went to the hotel room and chilled before our welcome dinner, which we had at the Seaside Restaurant.

It was lovely apart from the fact that me and a few others had to wait for our food for two hours (!!!) and when we finally got it, it wasn't even what we ordered! Goes without saying that I was furious! But the company was great and it was ace to be reunited with the girls from our Siam Culture and Elephant Adventure groups!

After dinner we went to a bar called Sun Dance where we watched a very impressive and pretty crazy fire show! Some of us got to try it ourselves and some of us got burned, of course. My burn wasn't bead but enough to make me reuse to try again haha! We also made friends with some English guys who we hung out with the rest of the night, and also partied with last night. So much for the quiet night I was planning on having! We didn't stay out too long on Monday night though because yesterday we had to leave at 9:30 for an entire day of snorkelling.

So we spent the whole day on a boat going around the island of Koh Tao, stopping about five times to snorkel. It was really nice and I saw some really pretty fish and corals. Some of the others in our group apparently saw sharks!

We also made a stop at the beautiful island of Koh Nangyuan, where we spent a couple of hours just exploring what is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. This little island is my idea of paradise. And seeing of from above - from the viewpoint we went to - was truly amazing!!

Then we went back on the boat and back to the hotel, all of us pretty sunburned oops, and got ready for dinner, which was at a place called V Nizza, where we all had pizza. Not very healthy but hey it was free! And oh so yummy!!

We ended this amazing day with a night out with the same lads as Monday night. Started at the same bar (which makes AMAZING piña coladas!) before moving on to Fish Bowl: one of the clubs here. We walked along the beach there and joked about how romantic we were being, and then partied the night away on the beach (I can now check that off my bucket list) before heading back to the hotel for a sort of after party. It was a really good night! I had more fun than I've had in a looong time, partying with my new found pals from this holiday, plus the English lads, who were all really nice and fun! I even made myself a fiancé for the night (don't ask haha) and we spent then night fake planning our wedding and the rest of our happy lives together. It was so lame but great to be able to joke around like that without anyone getting the wrong idea! And sometimes it's fun to just be cheesy.

So as a result of last night I am hungover today, and have spent most of this day just relaxing in the shade cradling my water bottle and Pepsi max. I'll work on my tan tomorrow when my sunburns have settled and I'm not hanging. Although, we'll see how well I do staying sober tonight! Because we're going to a ladyboy show!
