A journey from dog barks to sex on the beach, and Hannah's last day

What a day! It started off pretty stressful but ended in the best way! Hannah and I got up at 6 am to go for our last morning walk in Hua Hin and the walk was lovely apart from this one bit with a couple houses which was guarded by some vey aggressive dogs growling and baring their teeth to us. We had to roar at the and swing at them with a stick to stop them from biting us. I absolutely hated it because dogs are supposed to be man's best friend so seeing an aggressive dog feels so wrong. I want to be able to cuddle them god dammit! But at least we got a gorgeous sunrise.

Anyway, when we got back we had a quick breakfast and then went to the room to finish packing. We were supposed to leave at 8 am, but we were a bit late. I misunderstood the driver and thought we'd be riding on the back of the truck all the way to Bangkok, which I was not looking forward to, but it turns out he was just driving us to a minivan station. So that was a relief, however, ironically, the minivan wasn't much comfier than the truck would have been. But it got us to the Bangkok bus station, from which me and Hannah got a taxi to the hotel. And let me tell you something... WE GOT OUTRAGEOUSLY RIPPED OFF!!! We got so ripped off I'm not even going to reveal by how much! This was after I argued with the driver over the price as well!!
I know, I know, we should have just found another cab, but we were already sitting in the backseat and our luggage was in the trunk (clearly a tactic of theirs) so we just accepted it, then spent the entire taxi ride ranting about it. On top of that there was a traffic jam so it took ages to get to the hotel, but we eventually got there and checked in.
Holy shit it's awesome to stay in an ACTUAL hotel!! They actually give us towels! I never thought I'd be so excited about the combination of a towel and warm shower!
Anyway, once settled in we went for a walk and explored the surrounding area. Turns out our hotel is right in the middle of the action, near the walking street of Thanon Khao San, which is very handy. We spent a couple of hours looking at souvenirs and buying lunch.

We also got a Thai massage, which was the first time for both of us, and it was pretty much what I expected but I was still surprised by how strong they are! I mean this woman was pulling on my limbs, stepping on me, twisting me around and squeezing out every single knowt I my back. It was quite sore at some points but l left feeling like a new person. It wa shuts what I needed! I mean, look how happy we looked after it!

Then we headed back to the hotel to take a nap and freshen up before heading out for dinner. Guess where we went? McDonald's. I'm not even kidding haha! Can you tell we're sick of thai food? It was so nice to have something properly western for the first time in ages!! Or well, I had plum sauce instead of sweet and sour sauce with my McNuggets but it tasted almost the same.

Then we went for another stroll in the area before chilling in one of the bars, having a drink. Hannah had a Chang beer and I had a Sex on the Beach (the only sex on the beach I'm getting har har). We sat there and listened to the live band playing mainly blues music, just enjoying Hannah's last night in Thailand.

I can't believe she leaves in a few hours!!! Going to miss her so much! Now we're going have a quick sleep (or more like a nap) before she has to get up at 2 am to leave at 2:30. Tomorrow I am going to sleep in.
