Happy Valentines Day people!

I am sitting here with a coffee in front of me, happily full after a very unhealthy yet satisfying breakfast of waffles and some kind of sweet eggy bread with a frosting filling (I think). It's the most wester breakfast I've had since being in Thailand and while it was unhealthy, and will probably make my tummy very angry, it was ace to have some familiar food.

Anyway, yesterday started off rocky and morale was very low. We went to a temple (another one yay...) and then to a little market, which was cute but didn't have anything that took my fancy. After that we had to go to the bus station so a couple people could buy their bus tickets to Bangkok and wherever else, and the rest of us were sat waiting. There was a lot of waiting around because we have a large group of chinese people who were always like 20 minutes late. So annoying!!! Then there was a French girl who just would not stop complaining and bitching about this program and moaning about anything we did. I mean yeah, I understand her annoyance because she was just dumped in this program when the one she was supposed to do fell through, and she wasn't told until she was basically on the back of the truck with us going down to Hua Hin. But still, things are not going to get better because you bitch and moan every second. She has gone back to Singburi now so at least we don't need to listen to her complaining  anymore.

However (getting off topic here!) after all the faffing around during the start of the day we were finally dropped of at Hua Hin Beach for some beach time!! Me and Hannah rented a couple beds and just lay here relaxing. Then I got hungry and decided to get some lunch and oh my god! The prices were ridiculous!! Like five times the price of what we have paid in the other places! I paid 150 baht for a tiny ham and cheese sandwich... that's more than it would be at home! So today I have prepared with a massive breakfast, and I've bought some snacks for the beach.

After the beach we went back to the hostel where we had dinner, showered and got ready, and in the evening we went to a famous night market in Hua Hin Beach. It was just what I'd imagined a Thai night market to be in a touristy place. They sold everything from food to bracelets to cheap knock offs. I bought a pair of elephant trousers. Walking the market took us to the main road where we found A STARBUCKS AND A BOOTS PHARMACY!!! We were deliriously happy to go to these two places and just be somewhere familiar for the fist time in weeks. I got a Starbucks PROPER coffee which I sipped on as we walked back to the car. I also bought dry shampoo, which I thought I'd never find here.

This morning we got up at 6:30 and went for our usual morning walk.  On the way back we got followed by a gang of dogs, haha!

Now we're off to a dog shelter and then another beach. I need to get ready!
