Friday Funz

So yesterday we went to the massive waterfall, which I've already forgotten the name of. The car ride there was nothing short of brutal, as we were bumping along an absolutely reidiculous road, which wound its way up and down and left and right through the jungle. It was the roughest road I've ever travelled on and sitting on the back of the truck with all the dust flowing about so that we were all covered in a thick layer of dirt. 

After this horrendous ride we had lunch at the little camp site near the waterfall, and then we walked along a concrete path through the jungle to get to this amazing spot. I mean, look at this beauty:

We spent a couple hours relaxing by this waterfall, which happens to be the largest one in Thailand and the second largest in all of Asia, and also took some classic travel-scenery-posing pictures. Tee-hee-hee.

Apologies for all the half-nakedness but it was warm and we were swimming! 

After the waterfall it was time to walk back to the cars and brace the horrendous ride back home. This time me, Nora and Elise got to sit in the backseat of one of the cars (with seat belts!!!) so the ride back wasn't as back as the ride there. 

When we got back dinner was served and last night we all got ready and went to the local bar one last time. We had a really good time chatting, drinking, laughing and sharing a huge amount of food. The Chinese guy in our group kept ordering all kinds of dishes for us to share. The weirdest one was this gigantic fish (which was really nice):

The excitement and entertainment (sort of) of the night was that one of the girls here (the same one who cut her foot last week) got really drunk and decided to dance around, twerking and flirting with all the Thai guys. She then jumped on the back of one of the guys' motorcycle and drove off. She was gone for hours and we were all kind of like "where the F is Grace??" She came back though, so at least she wasn't raped or killed, and continued her flirting with the Thai guys, and dancing around. I left pretty early because I was shattered, but before I went home I went with Nora and Elise to buy ice cream at the 7-eleven. Then I went home to bed. 

This morning Elise and I got up and went for our last morning walk, where we saw how they stack things on trucks here in Thailand: 

Today most of us are leaving Umphang to go to Bangkok or Singburi. I'll be going back to Twin House in Singburi to get a few hours sleep, and then I'm off to Hua Hin Beach with my Canadian pal Hannah. She's at Twin House already, but she's going to stay up with me so we can be tired together. She's such a cutie pie!
