We said goodbye to the elephants yesterday, after feeding and swimming with them. Although, I was only in the water for about two seconds, because I swear to god I felt a snake around my legs! Or at least I was sure it was one at the time, so I screamed (embarrassing) and ran out the water and didn't go back in. And later I was kind of glad I didn't because one of the elephants pooped in the water hahaha! But despite the poop, it has been a great experience to get to hang out with them!

In the afternoon everyone, except me and my second Norwegian gal pal Nora, went off on a hike into the jungle to sleep at a viewpoint near here.
I spent all week battling myself on whether or not to join them, since I hate sleeping outside and I'm a bit scared of the jungle. In the end I decided that my FOMO (fear of missing out) wasn't strong enough for me to put myself through a night that would be no less than torture to me. Everyone was also going to drink, so I would risk being the only sober one, which just didn't appeal to me. It would have been an experience, but it's one I can live without! And from what I've been told about the type of trek along a hillside, and people getting smashed, combined with how tired everyone looks today, I'm glad I didn't join.
Instead me and Nora just took it easy; we had dinner, then went into town and bought ice cream (I tried as really weird one, with some kind of jelly) and hen just chilled on our room. It's was very nice!
