Elephants and Uhmpang

This afternoon we went to visit the elephants and spent the afternoon feeding them and watching them eat (I'm being serious!). It was amazing, but not much more to say! So here are the pictures instead:

And don't worry – the chains don't hurt them but are only there to keep them from running away. They get tied up at night (on a long chain) so they don't go into the villages.
Then we went back to shower off the sand and dust, and then we gathered for dinner, which consisted of curry, rice and fruit. As usual.
(I'm starting to get sick of the food, mainly because I have a sensitive stomach and something I'm eating is making it very sore – every day! I'm used to knowing exactly what I'm putting in my mouth so I know if I can digest it or not, so having no control over what I eat here is a bit of a struggle, I'm not going to lie. But I'm grateful that one of the other girls has the same problem so at least we can suffer together and have each other to rant to! But I need to sort this food situation, even if I have to survive on rice for the rest of the trip!)
After dinner a few of us went into town and it turns out that Uhmpang is much larger than I thought! It has quite a few little cute shops, and even a 7-eleven! I can't wait to go back and explore it some more! But now I am going to send myself to bed. I'm getting up at 7 tomorrow because me and Elise (Norwegian girl) are going for a power walk before breakfast. Night y'all – or have a good day!
