The eve of Christmas Eve

So that's Christmas over and done with (except for you lucky sods who celebrate it tomorrow) and I'm lying here in my bed with the kind of massive food baby that I only get once a year. This was the last Christmas my family will ever celebrate in this house so I can't help but feel a bit emotional. But it's in a good way because today has been amazing, and in my mind it was the best last christmas we ever could have had here, and a perfect way to say goodbye to my childhood home. I've just had a nice, relaxing time with my family, watched great television, and on top of that, I got some amazing presents. I truly love Christmas, and it's not because of the food or the presents (although that's a great bonus) but because it represents a time of joy and safety with the three people (and the dog) that I love most in the world, and a time when I'm reminded of how blessed I am. So even though I probably won't sleep tonight because I'm so unbelievably stuffed and wired from all the food and sweets, I am still very content and happy. Although, I hope I can sleep soon because I am really tired. Merry Christmas to all and to all, a good night!

PS. The FINAL episode of my CHRISTMAS CALENDAR will be up on the blog tomorrow!
